chasing dreams

so yeah...i'll be out of san diego in a week from today. my stay here is done for now. i'm about to embark in a new adventure in my life. i've been thinking about a lot of things. if you haven't noticed, i've kinda been kinda quiet lately. well, i've been having my issues but i get this new life and new start starting next week. but what i'm looking forward to is a small city with big dreams. i'm using this opportunity in a new city to chase my dreams. in the past, everything's been taken away from me. but i'm not getting any younger, so i might as well overcome these demons and shoot for the stars. a lot of people won't agree with my decisions but i'm going to pursue that fighting i've always wanted to do. if that doesn't work...well...i've already made it a vow to go back to school. culinary school that is. having been to dell's restaurant gave me some ambition. i would like to have my own sushi joint one day. i plan on focusing on japanese cuisine. but anyway...one step at a time. i'm really about doing things now and not being all talk. an issue that i've been around lately. and i don't wanna turn out like that. the whole vegas deal was only words at the beginning, but now that this opportunity arises. i'm going after it. if there's something i would like to see, is other people start chasing their dreams. i've noticed that a lot of people are really into their comfort zones and i'd really like to see people start chasing instead of wishing. it would surely spark up new and exciting conversations and interests. and now that i think of it, at this point, i'd consider myself a horrible friend because i don't even know my own friends' dreams and ambitions. it'd probably be an interesting topic of conversation. i am curious. i have so many thoughts and ideas in my head that it's almost too difficult to tell them to people because this type of stuff never really gets thrown around. i don't know...i tend to have high hopes and well...i'd like to learn more about the people i know.

Crap, I hit "enter" too soon.

Anyway -- it's been a few years since we last spoke, but this is really exciting news to hear. I don't know if your departure is on a bittersweet or happy one, but I'm happy to hear that you're embarking on a new adventure. Wishing you the best in your future. Have fun; I know you will. :)
